Bikes and prices
All bikes have hand brakes and gears, so you don’t need to learn Dutch back-pedal brakes. Prices include VAT.

Bringing the kids?
Take a bakfiets, the wooden cargo bike every Amsterdam parent rides. Two children sit in the box with seat belts and a rain cover. We show you how to ride it before you leave, it takes five minutes.

How it works

- Show your ID at the shopWe adjust the saddle and give you a map with the quiet routes.
- Ride, then bring it backReturn by 19:00, or leave it overnight in our locked storage.
Questions
Do I need a deposit?
Only a photo ID or passport, which we scan and return. No cash or card deposit.
What if it rains?
Amsterdam rides in the rain. We sell ponchos for €3, and if you cancel because of a storm warning you get a full refund.
What if the bike gets stolen?
Lock it to something fixed with both locks and our insurance covers it. You pay a €50 excess.
Is cycling in Amsterdam safe for beginners?
Yes, if you keep to the right and stay out of tram tracks. We’ll give you five rules at the shop, and our map avoids the busy roads.
